Gaming Post 37: Kirby’s Dream Land

The Random Number Generator has decided that the next game I should write an article about is Kirby’s Dream Land.

In January of 2015, I beat the game Punch-Out!! (NES) on the Wii U Virtual Console. Even though I used Restore Points to take most of the difficulty out of the game, it wasn’t completely easy.

666218-mike-tyson-s-punch-out-wii-u-screenshot-the-virtual-console
When I time travel, I see this menu a lot. Actually, way too much.

Instead of immediately moving on to Super Punch-Out!!, I settled on what would probably be an easier target. Available on the 3DS Virtual Console were the first few entries in the Kirby Series. The Kirby Series was high on my list of targets, Kirby himself having been a playable character in the very first Super Smash Bros. game.

roster
The Original 12 Fighters represent The Greater Mario Series, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, StarFox, Pokémon, Earthbound and F-Zero.

For me, the completion of Kirby’s Dream Land began a month and a half long binge of the Kirby Series as it existed at that time. I would end up beating 15 Kirby Games before moving on to the Kid Icarus Series and the rest of Punch-Out!!

11002497_10155278359760444_8008998852158173280_n
Series that are only 3 games long can be like low-hanging fruit.

The thing about Kirby’s Dream Land in particular is that it came out before Kirby was able to use his trademark Copy Ability, which is what allows Kirby to steal the abilities of his enemies. The Copy Ability is something that Kirby is well known for, but he would only start using it in the second Kirby game, Kirby’s Adventure for the NES.

Sword2 (2)
This is Kirby with a sword.

Kirby’s Dream Land is also so short that the entirety of the game was able to be remade and inserted into a later game, Kirby Super Star, where it would serve as one of the mini-games. It was short enough that I was able to complete both it and Kirby’s Adventure in the same afternoon.

hqdefault.jpg
This game is a breeze.

I think I did a pretty good job of completing most of the Kirby Series. It’s been almost 5 years though, and many titles have been released in that time. I’ll have to return to Dream Land to finish the job, but currently, I’m in the middle of trying to complete the Greater Mario Series, which is like fighting a dragon with many heads.

Mario’s Picross 2 is so long.

Gaming Post 36: Pokémon Crystal Version

A long time ago, the Random Number Generator chose Pokémon Crystal Version to be the next game I would write an article about on this website. It has been several years since then, in part because I wasn’t truly finished playing the game at that time. My quest in that game has recently ended, which has in a sense, potentially opened the floodgates for me to continue writing articles here.

gbc_pokemoncrystal_front

I bought a copy of Pokémon Crystal when it came out. I may have purchased it on its American release date, but I can’t be sure. My memory of anything that happened in my life before I was 10 years old is fuzzy.

What I do know is that by the time I started Pokémon Crystal, I had already beaten Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver. Having played both of them, I knew that they were basically the same game with a different cartridge color, title screen, and creature spawns. My hope was that Pokémon Crystal would be something new and exciting, but it turned out that it too was basically the same game as Gold and Silver.

crystal-cartridge

The cartridge of Pokémon Crystal is very pretty, but aside from that, I didn’t experience Crystal as a different game from Gold and Silver up to the point when I gave up. Crystal was the first main series Pokémon game to let you choose between being a boy or girl, but since I was a boy and a coward, I chose to play as a boy despite the fact that playing as a girl would be the biggest possible gameplay difference Crystal could offer. Also, since it was my third time playing a game set in Johto, I went ahead and chose my third favorite Johto starter, having already chosen Cyndaquil in Gold and Totodile in Silver.

152
Chikorita is my third favorite Johto starter.

I’m not entirely sure why, but I became bored enough of the game to stop playing once I arrived in Ecruteak City. It’s true that the Pokémon sprites were a bit more animated in Crystal, but I had essentially played Pokémon Gold to death by that point, so to me, it felt like there was very little reason to carry on.

I eventually beat the story of Pokémon Crystal in 2014 when I recorded a video project called The Crystal Quest, a sequel to a different video project called The Yellow Quest. In The Crystal Quest, I catch 99 of the Generation 2 Pokémon legitimately in regular Pokéballs and Park Balls, and then I catch Celebi in a Pokéball by cheating the event only “GS Ball” item into the game and then not saving after.

gs
To be fair, I did have a GS Ball in real life.

Here’s a playlist of The Crystal Quest if you ever want to see it.

When I played Crystal all the way through for this video project, I was 21, so I noticed things I maybe wouldn’t have noticed when I was younger. It’s stated in the game that the legendary beasts, Entei, Raikou, and Suicune were the reincarnations of Pokémon who perished in the burning of the western pagoda, The Brass Tower. This is said to have been caused by a lightning bolt 150 years ago at the time that the games take place. A popular theory was that the three Pokémon who perished were a Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon. Lending stock to this theory was the fact that in Pokémon Crystal, the story of this event is told to you by three monks who each have a Noctowl followed by one of those three Eeveelutions. This theory is seemingly contradicted in what happens to be my favorite episode of “Pokémon Generations” as seen below.

The three Pokémon that become the legendary beasts appear to be something close in shape to the Pokémon Houndour, or a regular dog. That said, it’s pretty clear that “Pokémon Generations” isn’t 100% canonical.

dog
This is probably a regular dog.

What I love about this episode is that it takes place in the past of Johto, which looks a lot like the past of Japan. This implies that the Pokémon world had the same basic history as Earth, with us sharing the same passing fashions and architecture styles.

people
People from that episode dressed in a different fashion to the more modern era fashion of the main series’ present day.

I should note that the Galar region contains architecture in the ancient Roman style, namely the Hero’s Bath in Circhester. This, along with the name of the nearby “Hotel Ionia” implies that Galar itself was in part settled by the PokéRomans just like how England was settled by the real Romans in actual history. If there’s ever a Pokémon game set in a region based on Italy, I expect to see some ruins there that look the same as the ones in Circhester.

circhester
The Hero’s Bath (Circhester, Galar)

In 2018, a modified version of Pokémon Crystal was released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Unlike the original Pokémon Crystal, this one had a legitimate way to obtain the GS Ball and fight or capture Celebi without needing a real life event to take place. This was the first time since the original Crystal version that shiny Celebi could be legitimately obtainable and sent to the most current game. Because of this, many people attempted to encounter one, despite the odds of one appearing being 1/8192 each time you put the GS Ball in its pedestal.

251Celebi_Shiny_PMD_Explorers

Before Crystal came out on the Virtual Console, I had never purposefully tried to encounter a shiny Pokémon and succeeded. That said, Shiny Pokémon had a way of finding me. I did start successfully hunting shiny Pokémon whenever I participated in Pokémon GO Community Days, but the odds of a Pokémon being shiny in that game, especially during a Community Day, is much higher than it is in the regular mainline series, so I wouldn’t really consider that to be the same thing as shiny hunting.

PKMN_Community-Day-logo2

I had purchased a Japanese 3DS and European 2DS for multiple purposes. One of those purposes was to catch every form of Vivillon that I previously had to trade with other people for. That took maybe a few hours. After that, I wanted to use those systems along with my other two functioning 3DSes to hunt shiny Celebi with four games at a time.

array
I had four Crystals just like in the Final Fantasy.

Hunting Celebi with 4 games at a time would change the chance of encountering a shiny from 1/8192 per reset to 1-(8191/8192)^4 or about 1/2048 per reset. Even with that advantage I wasn’t motivated to actually do the hunt until recently, when it occurred to me that looking for the non event-boosted Gigantimax Pokémon in Sword and Shield without cheating would be more of a hassle than finding shiny Celebi.

099-gi
Gigantimax spawns are unfair. Mr. Krabs is in there.

I got my array of game systems ready, and started hunting after work one night. I decided to multitask and so I started to rewatch Full Metal Alchemist on my phone. I almost got to the end of the second episode when my plans for watching anime were foiled.

I didn’t count the number of resets I did, but by my calculation, the hunt had to be less than 15 hours total, with me taking maybe 40 seconds or more per reset. Shiny Celebi arrived too soon I think. I shouldn’t be complaining though. I realized that I can finally write this article with its true ending, now that my adventure in Crystal is over. It seems to me like it’s finally time to consult the Random Number Generator once again.

Thanks for reading!

Animal Crossing K.K. Slider Lyrics

I just translated all 93 (technically 94) of K.K. Slider’s songs into the following typed out sounds: “oh” “me” “que” (quay) “na” “now” and “aroo” (sometimes only the “oo” part of aroo). I’m just going to leave these here until I do something better with them. Enjoy if you like K.K.’s jams and always wanted to sing along with him in Animalese.

Also, if you find any errors, please let me know.

Gaming Post 34: Xenoblade Chronicles (3DS)

The random number generator has chosen a very good game for me to write about, but it’s a very long game that some people may intend to play eventually, so I’ll try not to spoil too much about the story.

NewN3DS_XenobladeChronicles3D_pkg

The game I’m going to be writing about this time is Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the New Nintendo 3DS. It was originally released for the Nintendo Wii. If you’re scrolling through Zelgerath.com, everything after this paragraph is concealed behind a “Continue reading” tag, but if you’ve clicked straight into this article, there is no such protection from minor spoilers.

Gaming Post 29: Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

The random number generator has determined that the next game I should write about is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.

Photo Jul 01, 7 51 59 PM

Wario Land is an interesting game in that it continued an existing series by transforming it. It is the last game in the Mario Land series as well as the first in the Wario Land one. You play as Wario, who was the main antagonist in the previous game, Super Mario Land 2.

Photo Jul 01, 7 57 44 PM

I bought this game from the 3DS Nintendo eshop when I was bored, along with Mario Land 1, Wario Land 2 and Wario Land 3. I already had Mario Land 2 from an eshop sale.

Photo Jul 01, 7 59 01 PM

After finishing Mario Land 2, PAX East 2014 happened. I didn’t have a Ticket for the Friday, but I did meet my friend Absol from the Internet outside the venue that day. I then sat for a few hours and streetpassed with people who were in line to get in. This campaign finally ended when my 3DS ran out of battery power and I decided to take the train home.

streetpass-620x

When I got home, I was experiencing gaming withdrawal. Though it was true that I had been playing the Mii Plaza games Puzzle Swap and Warrior’s Way, I had only played them so intently that day because PAX East presented me with an opportunity to progress faster in those games than I usually could. That said, you can only play the street pass games for so long before they stop being fun.

streetpasswarriors

That afternoon, I played through the entirety of Super Mario Land 1 and then started Super Wario Land.

250px-SarasalandBoxArt
“Best adventure yet”? More like “Shortest adventure yet”!

Super Wario Land is pretty easy, even without Restore Points, but I did use them for the sake of convenience. I ran into a problem early on in the game that taught me to be careful with restore points. I had accidentally created a restore point at a moment in the game when Wario was healthy, but there was no possible way to survive to the end of the level (there was a moving platform I was supposed to have jumped off of). This taught me that there are dangers to using restore points, and one should always be careful in their use.

Photo Jul 01, 8 00 10 PM

Wario Land 1 plays similarly to regular Super Mario games. Wario can obtain power ups like the Dragon, Bull or Jet to traverse levels differently or attack enemies more easily. If you get hit by an enemy, just like in Super Mario, you lose your power up, and if hit again, you become “Tiny Wario”. If Tiny Wario gets hit, it’s a death.

Following Wario’s defeat in Mario Land 2, Wario wants to build a new castle. To pay for it, he decides to steal treasure from pirates.

Photo Jul 01, 8 00 38 PM

He eventually duels with Captain Syrup, the leader of the pirates, and her genie.

Photo Jul 01, 8 00 22 PM

After he wins, the genie builds Wario a new castle. Depending on how well you do collecting treasure, you get ranked at the end by how big the castle is.

The genie built me a birdhouse.

Wario is a character defined by his flaws. In that way, he’s a much more believable character than his doppelgänger Mario. This game introduced his greed, and other games would feature his sloth and gluttony. Greed is his primary personality trait, because that’s what motivates him to get off the couch once in a while.

Photo Jul 01, 7 59 15 PM

The only Wario Land game that I haven’t beaten yet is the one they made immediately after this one, which was for the Nintendo Virtual Boy gaming system. The process of writing this article incited me to bite the bullet and order a Virtual Boy gaming system online along with the Wario Land title for it. I’ll hopefully play it soon.

Even 9-Volt has a Virtual Boy. I wonder if he has Wario Land.

Through the process of writing this article, it can be said that my life has been slightly affected by a random number generator. Thanks for Reading! I Appreciate it!

A Brief Majora’s Mask 3D Fishing Guide

This is the first gaming article on Zelgerath.com which was not written because of a Random Number Generator. I’m writing this because I feel that it could help a lot of people who are aiming to 100% complete The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.

468px-LordChapu

I have recently played The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D to 100% completion. Most of the game is essentially identical to the original game that people know and love, so guides for the original game are very useful to anyone playing the remake. However, a brand new fishing quest was added to the 3DS Remake which has been an unexpected challenge.

Because the fishing in this game is new and only a side quest, there isn’t a lot of reliable information about how to catch all 24 fish in the game, so I decided to write this simple guide to help those of you who are attempting to catch all the fish. I owe much of this information to helpful threads I found online, but it’s here that I want to compile the results and details of my experience with this side quest.

There are 2 Fishing Areas (Fishing Holes) in Majora’s Mask 3D. One is in the Swamp and the other is by the Ocean. Each area has 12 fish to catch, 3 of them being considered “Boss Fish”. There are 6 “Boss Fish” all together, but you’ll only find 3 in the Ocean Fishing Hole and 3 in the Swamp Fishing Hole.

When you enter a fishing hole, the fish will load inside of the water. It is random what appears but not completely (but I’ll get to that later). You don’t have to pay for a fishing rod to check if a specific fish is there or not, so I recommend not paying unless you know there’s a fish you want inside the water. Otherwise, if the fish you’re looking for isn’t there, exit the fishing hole and come back in to check for it again.

I did this quest after 100%ing the rest of the game, so it helps to have every mask and a ton of money.

SWAMP FISHING HOLE

zlCfzTCSAGAypaqIyA

Fish 1: Termina Bass

zlCfzTCRUc8OrtCS6e

A common fish; very easy to find. Learn the basics of fishing catching these.

Fish 2: Termina Loach

zlCfzTCRXzImlZYqBk

Slightly less common fish; I’ve seen them near the bottom, so definitely learn to use the sink lure.

Fish 3: Groovy Carp

zlCfzTCRa_4l_B8izA

These guys are common along the north east edge of the pond. (You might want to buy a map of the Swamp and Ocean from Tingle if you haven’t.)

Fish 4: Sweet Ranchfish

zlCfzTCRensNhLQ4at

This fish can only exist between 6AM and 3PM. It has a chance of appearing if you enter the Fishing hole at or after 6AM, and at 3PM, if they’re in the Fishing Hole, they will disappear, even (I hear) if it’s hooked on your line.

This guy is a little tough. It will be willing to take your bait for a while if you play “Epona’s Song”. It’s not always there, so you might need to run in and out of the Fishing Hole a few times before it appears. What you should do is enter the fishing hole, walk onto this bridge…

zlCfzTCRJqA4vV_dbc

and play Epona’s Song using your Ocarina (It might work with the other instruments, but I don’t know). If it’s there, you should hear a “Success Chime” and there will be ripples at its location until the song wears off. While there are ripples, try getting the bait close to it as you can and it may bite. If the ripples stop before you can catch it, play Epona’s Song again.

Fish 5: Fragrant Reekfish

zlCfzTCRiT8Xx44BMq

To check if it’s there, stand at the water’s edge with your feet in the water and put on the Mask of Scents. If nothing happens, leave the fishing hole and come back. Try again until wearing the mask makes you hear a chime and you see at least one purple cloud on the surface of the water. They have a strong smell, so a purple cloud indicates its location.

Fish 6: Mooranha

zlCfzTCRmUMRRESWyy

To check if it’s there, wear Romani’s Mask (The Cow Mask) and stand on the water’s edge with your feet in the water. If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and come back. Try again until you hear a chime and ripples appear on the pond. The ripples tell you where the fish is.

Fish 7: Postal Salmon

zlCfzTCRpz4vXZG46s

From 6AM to 9PM, this fish may be moving around the pond in a fairly uniform pattern. If it’s there, you can stop it in its tracks by wearing the Postman Hat. A chime will play, and then you can catch it fairly easily.

Fish 8: Cuccofish

zlCfzTCRtdETRdb26w

This fish cannot appear on Day 2. All other times are okay. To check if it’s there, go to the edge of the water and march with the Bremen Mask. If it’s there, a chime will play, and for a while, there will be ripples, which means that it is willing to take your bait. If the ripples stop before you can catch it, march again with the Bremen Mask and the ripples should start again.

Fish 9: Ancient Fish

zlCfzTCRyAQKCfxYip

This fish is based on the Coelacanth, a prehistoric fish that lives in deep water. As such, you might find this one at the bottom of the pond. The quickest way to check would be to go into the fishing hole as a Zora and walk to the bottom of the pond to see if any are there. Alternatively, you can check by wearing the Gibdo mask and listening for a chime. You must wear the Gibdo mask to make its ripples appear so it can be caught.

Fish 10: Ferocious Pirarucu

zlCfzTCR1doLNWOWXr

This is one of the six “Boss Fish”. To make Boss Fish appear, I recommend catching a lot of fish on Day 1 (I’m just guessing 20 is more than enough). Make sure you are using the song of double time to slow time. It doesn’t matter where the fish are caught, so I would recommend fishing in the Swamp because the fish are easier to catch. If you run low on fish in the pond, leave the fishing hole and come back in. After you have fished for awhile, save your progress at an owl statue, because it is now possible to encounter a boss fish. If you fail to catch it and run out of time, you can return to your last save point and try again.

To check if this guy is in the pond, go into Zora form and walk to the bottom of the pond. If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and come back. If it is there, you want to hook a fish on your line near him. Don’t reel the smaller fish all the way in, but instead use it as bait to catch the Ferocious Pirarucu. If it grabs the small fish, you have to hook him with the circle pad as if you are catching a new fish or he’ll get away. The boss music will play. Enjoy.

Fish 11: Colossal Catfish

zlCfzTCR40c0oIt7Lc

This fish can only be found on the final day. To check if it’s there, you need to hop to the island in the middle of the pond using your Deku form, and then pound the ground using your Goron form.

zlCfzTCRQ58icNcok4

This is the only reliable way to check, because without shaking the lake in this way, the fish will be invisible. If you hear a chime, the ripples will appear and you can try to catch it. If the ripples stop, just pound the ground on the island again. When you hook it, the boss music will play. Enjoy.

Fish 12: Lord Chapu-Chapu

zlCfzTCR8IwFTGwOMR

This is the Master of the Swamp; A baby Lord Jabu Jabu named Lord Chapu Chapu. To check if this guy is in the pond, go into Zora form and walk to the bottom of the pond. If it’s there, it should be sitting in a small underwater cave on the east edge of the pond.

zlCfzTCRNLYCnUbcSC

If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and come back. If it is there, you want to hook a fish on your line near him. Don’t reel the smaller fish all the way in, but instead use it as bait to catch Lord Chapu-Chapu. If it grabs the small fish, you have to hook him with the circle pad as if you are catching a new fish or he’ll get away. The boss music will play. Enjoy.

OCEAN FISHING HOLE

Fish 1: Termina Seabass

zlCfzTCSK6chXH-Cf7

A common fish; pretty easy to catch. I don’t 100% remember, but you might need to use a normal fishing lure. I had trouble using the sinking lure.

Fish 2: Goodta Goby

zlCfzTCSOuEggd72mL

A common fish; pretty easy to catch.

Fish 3: Ambrosial Amberjack

zlCfzTCSSDEu80UqTX

A common fish; tends to be in the far north.

Fish 4: Bashful Angler

zlCfzTCSVtEBVlLpiP

Swim around while wearing the Stone Mask, and if there’s a chime, it means it’s there. Ripples indicate its location.

Fish 5: Dancing Sea Bream

zlCfzTCSY7Ab3oGwZy

It can only appear during the day. Dance using the Kamaro Mask for a few seconds to check if it’s there. There will be a chime if it is. If the ripples wear off, dance again.

Fish 6: Fairy Fish

zlCfzTCScFQ1LGbCAW

Swim around while wearing the Great Fairy Mask. I don’t remember if there’s a chime or not, but ripples indicate its location. It tends to be in the east near the underwater fairy cave.

Fish 7: Ninja Flounder

zlCfzTCSfIkqYO-crr

Swim around while wearing the Garo Mask, and if there’s a chime, it means it’s there. Ripples indicate its location.

Fish 8: Skullfish

zlCfzTCSiVc3AuSRoZ

It can only appear at night. Swim around while wearing the Skull Captain’s Hat, and if there’s a chime, it means it’s there. Ripples indicate its location.

Fish 9: Neptuna

zlCfzTCSnn0cnvx1yg

This fish cannot appear on Day 2. All other times are okay. Swim around while wearing the Couple’s Mask, and if there’s a chime, it means it’s there. Ripples indicate its location.

Fish 10: Grand Swordfish

zlCfzTCSrggE_Wxpjo

This guy is pretty darn tough. He’s pretty easy to check for though. Go into the ocean as a Zora and check if it’s there. It can be around any of the small islands. If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and try again. I think I eventually caught him using a normal fishing lure instead of a sinking one, but I don’t remember. It’s possible that you need to be wearing the Goron Mask to reel him in successfully. When you hook him, the boss music will play. Enjoy.

Fish 11: Savage Shark

These guys usually spawn as a group. When they appear, I have usually seen them in the southeast. To check if they are in the fishing hole, go into Zora form and walk to the seafloor. If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and come back. If it is there, you want to hook a fish on your line near one. Don’t reel the smaller fish all the way in, but instead use it as bait to catch the Savage Shark. Fish 12: Great Fairy Fish

This is the Queen of the Ocean; A creepy looking fish that has the same haircut as a Great Fairy. To check if this thing is in the fishing hole, go into Zora form and walk to the small underwater fairy cave in the northeast. If it’s there, it’ll be sitting in that cave, but you have to look carefully.

If it’s not there, leave the fishing hole and come back. Once you know that it’s there, you want to get a Fairy Fish onto your line. Remember to use the Great Fairy Mask so it will be willing to take the bait. Don’t reel the Fairy Fish all the way in, but instead use it as bait to catch the Great Fairy Fish. When it grabs the Fairy Fish, you have to hook it with the circle pad as if you are catching a new fish or it’ll get away. The boss music will play. Enjoy.

Gaming Post 13: Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Ok! So the random number generator has chosen for me to write about a pretty recent game, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS. The truth is that I actually covered my experience with this game fairly extensively in a recent video from my PKMNBlogger2 YouTube channel. It’s a pretty long video, so I’ll briefly summarize it, and you can watch it if you want to. The video also covers Omega Ruby, but I’ll stick to writing about Alpha Sapphire here, and I’ll write about the Omega Ruby portion of my quest later when the random number generator eventually chooses Omega Ruby.

When a pair of two Pokémon games come out, usually a person decides to focus more on one of them than the other. Alpha Sapphire was my main game of the recent 2014 remakes of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Versions. One of my favorite Pokémon of all time is Kyogre, and between the original Ruby and Sapphire, Sapphire was my main game, so deciding that Alpha Sapphire would be my main game between the two remakes was an easy choice to make.

Just as I had done in my original Sapphire Version, I chose Treecko as my starter Pokémon. I first chose Treecko because I thought it looked cool, but by complete accident my strongest Pokémon ended up being a random Linoone, and Grovyle ended up falling behind and being deposited into the PC storage system.

While I think that remakes of Pokémon games are pretty cool, this time I had a specific mission to accomplish. You see, from time to time, I make Pokémon related videos on my YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/PKMNBlogger2. Ever since Pokémon Platinum Version came out, I’ve been documenting the process of my capturing one of every species of Pokémon. Though no actual new Pokémon were introduced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, new Mega Evolutions of existing Pokémon were. My objective was to beat the story of Alpha Sapphire, obtain every Mega Stone, and capture every Legendary Pokémon in the game.

The thing about Alpha Sapphire that impressed me the most was the addition of something called the Delta Episode, not only for its added story but for making the Pokémon Deoxys (which was previously an “event only” Pokémon) available for anyone to capture forever. The implication of this is that the Event Pokémon of old could easily become “available anytime” Pokémon with further releases in the series. This is great because the exclusivity of Event Pokémon is seriously annoying.

The end of the video has some of my theories involving what the next Pokémon game might be. If you want to skip to that part, it’s at 1:20:42.
